Pancake Day in will be celebrated with a double-header of athletic events designed to test the speed and skill of St Albans flippers.
On Shrove Tuesday this year residents can choose between a traditional pancake race, where entrants sprint, flip and sprint again, or a walking race where competitors flip continually.
Both events will take place on Tuesday, March 4, outside St Albans Old Town Hall in St Peter's Street, at 12pm.
Last year’s running race was won by the Oaklands Wolves, and the walking race by Parker Flippers.
