A Redbourn teenage runner has triumphed in an Arsenal charity fun run.
Jacob Hine beat hundreds of others competitors in ‘Be a Gunner. Be a Runner’ event to become the first male to complete the 10-lap, 6.4km run around the outside of the stadium in a time of 26 minutes and 15 seconds.
The 16-year-old, who is deaf and uses sign language to communicate, is a Purple Member at Emirates Stadium and has already raised almost £200 towards The Arsenal Foundation.
After crossing the finishing line in first place, Jacob was rewarded with a special trophy and medal.
The popular fundraiser saw around 400 runners of all ages descend on Emirates Stadium for the flagship event around the stadium.
To date, more than £40,000 has been raised from the event, which will be used to support a range of projects in the UK and overseas that transform the lives of young people, including those of its charity partner, Save the Children.
