Application to demolish St Albans house and replace it with eleven apartments refused
An application to demolish a house in St Albans and replace it with eleven apartments has been refused.
St Albans District Council refused the application from Banner Homes this week on the grounds that the scale of development in London Road would be detrimental to the character of the area.
In addition, the council said the overdevelopment of the site would fail to achieve a "satisfactory standard of environment for future occupiers".
