Verulamium Park, Bricket Wood Common, Clarence Park, Rothamsted Park and Sopwell Nunnery Green Space have all received Green Flag Awards.
Managed by St Albans City and District Council, they are among the 1,476 parks and green spaces that have received the award.
Councillor Daniel Chichester-Miles, portfolio holder for environment at St Albans District Council, said: "We are absolutely delighted to receive Green Flag Awards for these five wonderful parks and green spaces.
"These awards recognise and highlight that residents in St Albans District are benefitting from green spaces of the very highest quality."
The council received the awards at a presentation for Hertfordshire Green Flag recipients on Thursday August 14.
