The North Orbital Road westbound has reopened following a diesel spillage yesterday morning.
The road was closed all day between High Street and A1081 London Road. It was also closed from Colney Heath to help clear the spill near the London Colney Roundabout.
More than 200 litres of diesel had to be removed from the road after a truck jackknifed at 2.13am.
Motorists reported only moving a few miles in a couple of hours.
The road has been resurfaced and opened an hour ago.
