Author and broadcaster Barry Norman will headline a special evening session later this month.

Norman is best known for fronting the BBC's flagship Film Programme for more than 25 years in a career which has seen him meet some of the world's biggest movie stars and directors from George Clooney to Martin Scorsese.

Festival co-organiser Vikki Orvice said: "Barry was keen to get involved with us when he heard about Books in the Belfry this summer and has kindly agreed to do this one-off evening session.

"It should be a wonderful way to spend a winter evening in the beautiful setting of Flamstead's medieval church as well as picking up the perfect Christmas present for family and friends with copies of the book available for sale on the night."

Proceeds from the evening will help support the Friends of St Leonard's (FOSL) to raise funds for vital repair work to safeguard the unique medieval wall paintings in the village church.

Doors will open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. For information on how to book tickets visit: http://www.flamsteadbookfestival.com.
