More than £8,000 raised at charity ball held at the Public Hall in Harpenden
More than £8,000 was raised at a charity ball held at the Public Hall in Harpenden in aid of Cardiac Risk in the Young and Cancer Research UK.
Some 180 guests enjoyed a four-course meal and spent generously on a raffle and auction, then dancing to Chapter Eight until midnight.
The proceeds from the evening will be shared equally between the two charities.
Organiser Brian Turberville said a big thank you to everyone who helped to make the evening such a success.
