Three people have been taken to hospital after a car accident in Wheathamsptead this morning.
Fire crews from St Albans, Harpenden and Welwyn Garden City were called at 9.43am to the three-car accident in Lower Luton Road.
Cutting equipment was used to free a man in his 40s, who was taken to Lister Hospital with a lef injury. Another man in his 30s was taken to Watford General with neck and back injuries and a man in his 30s was taken to the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital with a facial injury.
The road was closed while recovery took place. The three cars involved were a red Peugeot van, a silver Astra Estate and a silver Mercedes.
