The East of England Food Festival at Knebworth is now in its fifth year and has attracted a huge range of products for this year's event.

These include condiments, artisan cheeses, home cured and fresh meat, dairy products, confectionery, bakery, wine, beer and other drinks, together with cookware and other related products – making it the destination for food lovers from far and wide.

A full programme of food and cookery demonstrations from celebrity chef Matt Tebbutt (Food Unwrapped on Channel 4, Great British Food Revival on BBC2, guest presenter on BBC1’s Saturday Kitchen and owner of the renowned Foxhunter restaurant) will be compered by Masterchef Ondine Hartgroves, making it a good weekend for everyone from the amateur enthusiast through to the most sophisticated gastronome.

The show is also supporting and is supported by British Food Fortnight.

Organiser of the show, Emma Owen, of Oakleigh Fairs, says: “We are delighted to be returning once again to the East of England Food Festival at Knebworth this year – it is such a fantastic setting. With visitor numbers of around 7,500 it is arguably one of the largest food festivals in the region.

“From the 30 or so shows we run over the year, one thing that has become increasingly apparent is that people are fascinated by food; so many of us are concerned about food miles and traceability these days and more and more of us are turning to ‘real food’. We hope this event is a showcase for anything foodie and is your chance to meet the maker.

“And with both Matt and Ondine on hand throughout the weekend offering demos and tips from the top, this show really can’t be missed – whether you are already a seasoned cook – or just want to learn more, as well as enjoying browsing and sampling from our numerous exhibitors.

“You can also explore our farm animal display and understand just how field to fork really works”
