The East of England Food Festival is set to take place this weekend, from April 11 to 12, at Knebworth House. Here are the top six events across the weekend, writes Holly Barry.

1. Ondine Hargroves
The former MasterChef contestant is set to cook up a storm at this year’s festival. Ondine, who manages her own private dining business, will be sharing her tricks of the trade, and telling food fanatics why she believes food can be an ‘adventure on the palette’.
Ondine’s demonstration is at 10.30am on both Saturday and Sunday.

2. Matt Tebbutt
Presenter of Channel 4’s, Food Unwrapped, and guest presenter on BBC1’s Saturday Kitchen, Matt Tebbutt, is an acclaimed British chef who will demonstrate his passion for good food and cooking at the festival.
See Matt at 11.15am and 2pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

3. Tom Perkins
Fusing 65 recipes with his love for travel, Tom Perkins is the exciting newcomer on the cooking scene. In November 2014 his book, Spices and Spandex, was published, telling the tales of his adventures around the world, and the various people he met along the way. 
His demonstration starts at 12.30pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

4. Katherine Tate
Qualified food nutritionist, Katherine has 20 years’ experience working with children in Hong Kong and New Zealand. She will offer tips and recipes for parents on healthy eating.

5. Food exhibition
With around 100 exhibits spread across the whole weekend, festival-goers can enjoy a huge range of exciting products from artisan cheeses to confectionery, together with cookware products and information from professionals.
Stalls are available all weekend.

6. Richard Calderbank
Discover the art of wine tasting with Richard in a 45-minute demonstration as he explores the myths surrounding food and wine pairing. 
The talk starts at 1.15pm on both days.
