Spend a day watching Medieval battle re-enactments before trying your hand at herding ducks at this year's Knebworth Country Show, which is packed full of unusual entertainment.

Visitors of all ages will be welcomed along to Knebworth House over the weekend of August 15 to 16 to enjoy a host of country activities.

A spokesperson for the show, which is organised by Oakleigh Fairs, says: "We are delighted to be returning to Knebworth for the Country Show which we have moved back to its usual date in August - right in the heart of the school summer holidays. It’s a fantastic setting and we really enjoy working with the team there."

Here at the St Albans Review, we have put together our selection of the top things to see and do at this year's show.

Top five events at the Knebworth Country Show

2. On Sunday bring along a canine friend for the Companion Dog Show, or just watch the pampered pooches take part
