Exciting work by a pair of artists has gone on display at St Albans' newest art space, Nude Tin Can Gallery.

St Albans-born painter and photographer Adam Stockman is showcasing a selection of his figurative work considering aspects of the human condition.

Joining Adam is Izolda Lautner, or Bizzy, a stencil artist from Bristol. Bizzy was inspired to create her work by the urban graffiti scene in her hometown. She taught herself to paint, and she uses stencils and acrylic to make her interesting pieces.

Nude Tin Can has a series of Open Submission events coming up, the first - entitled Forget Me Not - runs from June 2 to 13. Any artist can submit a piece of their work for the exhibition, which is loosely based on a floral theme.

Nude Tin Can Gallery, Hatfield Road, St Albans, until May 30, Tuesday to Saturday, 11am to 5pm, Friday, 11am to 6pm. Details: 07870 941158, nudetincan.gallery
