Winning entries from last summer’s Welwyn Garden City Art Club’s exhibition are now on show at The New Maynard Gallery in Welwyn.
Among the artists exhibiting is John Jarratt who was awarded The Hopkinson Trophy for the overall best piece of work in the show. Reg Allman was also highly commended in this category.
In another category, Diane Oldham from Letchworth received The Ron Jolly Award for the best abstract work, while Joyce Ford and Harpenden artist Barbara Kiff were highly commended.
The Welwyn Trophy, for the picture that receives the most visitor votes during the summer show, went to Anthony Brown, while Kathleen Downing from Tewin won the The Stanborough Arts Award, and Heather Fitz from Harpenden scooped the Hertfordshire Graphics Prize.
