A talented group of youngsters from a St Albans-based dance school put on a colourful production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory earlier this month.
The team of 80 children from the Penny Waterman School of Dance sang and danced their way through Roald Dahl’s classic tale at The Sandpit Theatre in St Albans.
For six months the performers - who are aged as young as four - rehearsed the energetic production, which featured a host of dance styles including tap, street dance and ballet.
Established in 1979, Penny Waterman's school teaches dance to both children and adults, and many past students have gone on to achieve success.
A student from the school has appeared in Downton Abbey and a number of others have won parts in a variety of stage and screen productions.
