Follow On With The Show Productions adventures in Spain with our latest blog

Excitement is in the air as members of Watford theatre company On With The Show Productions (OWTS) have jetted off to northern Spain to take part in a brand new cultural exchange.

The Watford based theatre group has been enabling children from a non-performing arts background to take part in productions for the past ten years. Now ten young people from the group are heading for a Cantabrian fishing village in the north of Spain to help OWTS founder, Clare Cid-Fuentes run a month-long project for more than 70 local children, culminating in a performance in July.

The team leaders will also put their language skills to the test by taking Spanish classes in their spare time.

Co-founder Heather Aylward will be there to see them off. She says: “They’ll be helping the Spanish children to gain confidence in using English through team building exercises, songs, scriptwriting skills and all aspects of performing, as well as giving them a flavour of English life.”

On With The Show will also be running its annual and Watford based project at St Thomas Centre, Langley Road in August.
