District goes to the polls today

Polling stations will open across the district today for residents to vote for Hertfordshire’s first Police and Crime Commissioner.

About 106,000 residents have registered to vote, 16,000 of whom have opted to vote by post.

The district’s 71 polling stations will remain open until 10pm this evening. Voters will have the choice between four candidates.

Sherma Batson will run on behalf of the Labour Party.
