Singing and dancing is in full swing as youngsters get stuck in to this year’s annual Harpenden Scouts Gang Show rehearsals.

This year’s long-running show will celebrate its 64th year and budding young singers and actors will make up the 156 strong cast who will rehearse up until the closing night finale.

There are also 100 adult volunteers, including Ewan Murray, the producer and musical director, who form the backstage crew and are on hand to cover the stagehands, wardrobe, choreographers, production and technical teams.

Residents can also see the Gang Show in action tomorrow (Sunday) at the Harpenden Christmas lights switch on, where they will perform from 3:30pm.

The Harpenden Scouts Gang Show will be on stage in Harpenden Public Halls between January 8 to 12 next year.
