Edward Theodore Thompson, 67, of Admirals Close, Colney Heath. On December 1, 2012, drove in Hall Gardens, Colney Heath, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion in breath was 66 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Fine, costs: £215. Banned from driving for 18 months, to be reduced by 18 weeks if approved course undertaken.

Barbara Pope, 83, of Oswald Road, St Albans. On September 17, 2012, destroyed the front window of another property.  Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Compensation, costs: £285.

Stephen Richard Brand, 21, of Elm Drive, St Albans. On October 20, 2012, had in possession a bag of cannabis, a class B drug. Fine, costs: £180.

Ahmer Malik, 31, of Blandford Road, St Albans. On October 1, 2012, had in possession 5.1g of cocaine, a class A drug. Fine, costs: £215.

Abdul Qayum, 33, of Cottonmill Crescent, St Albans. On November 7, 2012, assaulted a person by beating her. Community order made with supervision and unpaid work (100 hours) requirements. Costs: £145.

Marcin Pakos, 35, of Grimsdyke Lodge, Hatfield Road, St Albans. On July 17, 2012, drove in Cavendish Way, Hatfield, at 36mph, the legal limit being 30mph. Fine, costs: £60. Three penalty points.
