A temporary charity book shop in Harpenden will stay open a little longer to clear its remaining stock in order to collect as much cash as possible for the cause.
The shop, which is run by the Harpenden Lions, is currently located in the former Ethos Hair & Beauty in Church Green Row.
Volunteers transformed the unused unit into a bookshop in the lead up to Christmas to sell donated books.
It will remain open on Fridays and Saturday until January 19.
Andrew Godden, from Harpenden Lions, said: "All stock must go. Books will be at half their original advertised price.
"We still welcome fresh books, particularly Christmas presents when they've been read."
The majority of the books will be available for less than £1 and all proceeds will be split between the Harpenden Lions’ chosen charities.
