Schools across the district will come together to show off some of their pupils’ best art work at an exhibition.
The Samuel Ryder Academy has invited 20 secondary and primary schools to display their work on January 19 and 20.
Karole Lange, an art technician at the school, is organising the event which is now in its second year.
She said: "Unless you have a child at school doing GCSE art you aren’t aware of the standard out there.
"The exhibition is to make people aware of just how good the art of young people is.
"It brings all the people together and they can celebrate their own students and others."
The exhibition is open to everyone and will open between 10am and 4pm on both days.
