Police appeal for witnesses to alleged assault on 17-year-old girl from Wheathampstead

Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl was allegedly assaulted in Wheathampstead.
The victim, a 17-year-old girl from Wheathampstead, had been jogging between Wick Avenue and Lattimore Road before slowing down to walk through an alleyway on Sunday, November 25, at 8:40pm.
The man, who was in the alleyway, grabbed the woman’s arm and put his arm around her neck.
She then managed to struggle free and got away in the direction of Wick Avenue.
The man is described as of medium build and was was wearing a dark-coloured hooded top.
