Car and van crash causes heavy traffic in London Road, St Albans

Emergency services were called to St Albans this morning after a van and a car crashed into each other.
Police and ambulance crews rushed to London Road just before 8am.
The road was blocked by the white Vauxhall Combo and the black Land Rover Freelander, causing heavy traffic.
A woman was checked over by paramedics but she did not need medical treatment.
Police remained at the scene until about 9.50am.
