Driver injured as car crashes into tree in Watford Road, St Albans

A driver had a lucky escape this morning after the car they were driving veered off the road and crashed into a tree.
Police and ambulance crews were called to Watford Road at 7.37am.
The blue Vauxhall Agila was blocking the road causing heavy traffic in the area.
Although the driver received a minor leg injury in the crash, they were able to walk and did not need to go to hospital.
Police remained at the scene until about 9am.
