A woman has had her bank cards stolen from her handbag while enjoying a cup of coffee in Harpenden.
The victim, who is in her 50s, had been sitting in Cafe Gusto in Thompson Close when the offenders sat down at the table next to her at about 3pm on Friday, November 16.
They managed to take her bank cards and driving licence from her bag which was on the floor by the table.
One of the cards was then used to withdraw money in a bank in St Albans.
Hertfordshire Constabulary has released CCTV images of two people they would like to speak to in connection with the theft.
PC Emma Collins, from the Safer Neighbourhood Team in Harpenden, said: "We are trying to trace these two people as they may have witnessed this theft and have information that is key to our investigation.
"If you recognise them or know anything about this crime, please get in touch with police as soon as possible."
Anyone who saw the incident is asked to contact officers on the non-emergency number 101.
