The 64th Harpenden Scout Gang Show has been another sell out success, with the producer describing it as "the best show we’ve ever done".

Audience members have numbered 400 every night since Tuesday, January 8 and a total of 2,250 tickets sold.

The show reached its finale yesterday (Saturday) evening. Harpenden show producer, Ewan Murray, said: "This is certainly one of the best shows we’ve done."

The Harpenden Gang Show is the longest continuously running of its kind in the world, and attracts visitors from as far away as Australia.

This year the show was visited by Derek Twine, the Chief Executive of the Scout Association, who said: "It’s evenings such as last night at the Harpenden Gang Show that reinforce why we do what we do, whatever our role and it reminds us of the great impact that Scouting has on young lives."

Over the past few years Scout numbers in the Harpenden area have dramatically increased from 750 to 1400 members.

The Gang Show also received a personal message from the Chief Scout, the popular adventurer and TV personality, Bear Grylls.
