Scouts join in national adventure weekend
Scouts from St Albans have met with 3,000 other scouts from across the UK to enjoy an adventure packed winter weekend.
The scouts took part in over 70 different adventure and fun activities ranging from abseiling to zorbing, at the winter camp in North East London.
They also enjoyed the experience of sleeping in tents for two nights, cooking on open fires and a packed programme led by a team of 200 adult volunteers.
Tom, 12, a member of the 16th St Albans Scout Group, said: "I climbed a palm tree, it wasn’t what I was expecting in winter, in England.
"It was all fun and I’ve made so many new friends this weekend can’t wait to do it again next year."
