St Albans Girls School pupils to hold Zumba class in aid of the St Albans Citizens Advice Bureau

Pupils from a St Albans school are organising a Zumba class to help residents burn off some Christmas calories.

Sixth form students from St Albans Girls School are holding the class on Wednesday, January 23 in aid of the St Albans Citizens Advice Bureau.

The fundraiser is part of the Dragons' Apprentice Challenge, which sees teams from 25 local schools attempt to turn £100 into as much cash as possible for good causes across the district.

Tickets for the hour-long class, which will begin at 7pm, cost £7 in advance and £10 on the door.

A range of healthy snacks will also be provided during the evening, which will be held in the school hall.

Hannah Barham, the group’s team leader, said:"It should be a great evening.

"What better way to raise money for an important local charity than to have fun, learn some Zumba moves and kick start a New Year fitness campaign."
