Batford Nursery - Open as normal
Grove Infant & Nursery - School open tomorrow. Thank you for your understanding today. Dress warmly and travel safely!
Grove Junior - Open as normal at usual times, assuming forecast correct. Huge thanks to staff and parents who helped clear site today! Children need change of footwear and warm outdoor clothes. Avoid driving up Dark Lane if possible.
Lea Primary & Nursery - Open from tomorrow, wellies and warm coats essential. Please take care on side roads. Won't be a problem if children arrive late
Roundwood Park - School open as normal. Yr 9 options evening goes ahead as planned - Tues 22nd

Beaumont School - is open as normal for all year groups tomorrow. Sturdy footwear is required, but all other school uniform rules apply
Bernards Heath Junior - Planning to open as normal on Tuesday 22nd. You are advised to park away from Marshall Ave, Seymour Rd and Watson Ave and walk the last bit as these roads are very icy. The side gate in Marshall Ave is not operational during snow conditions. Collection will be at the front of the school again. Please do not come into school.
Killigrew Primary & Nursery - Open as usual
Links Education Support Centre - Both sites will open as normal on Tuesday
Margaret Wix Primary - Open as normal tomorrow at 8.45am. The school need help from parents from 7.30am to clear the site. ABC breakfast club have kindly offered to provide breakfast for children of volunteers. Please come along to help if you can!
Nicholas Breakspear - School will open normal time tomorrow, but will finish at 2.30pm. This arrangement will be for the rest of the week. Students who can make their way home at 2.30 may do so. Those requiring the buses will be supervised until 3 pm when the buses will leave as normal. Full school uniform should be worn with sensible shoes.

Watling View - Open as normal tomorrow

The Met Office has issued an update on the Warning of Ice for London & South East England:
Icy stretches are expected to affect parts of southern UK at times during today and to develop more widely again this evening especially where snow has partially melted during the day or where any further rain, sleet or snow has occurred.
Again, the public should be aware of the risk of disruption to travel during this continuing spell of wintry weather.

The council have announced the following:
Abbey View Golf and Track Facility - all outdoor facilities will remain closed until the snow has thawed.
Batchwood Golf and Tennis Centre - golf courses are closed. Tennis reception open as usual.
Harpenden Swimming Pool - open as usual.
Harpenden Sports Centre - open as usual.
Westminster Lodge - open as usual.
London Colney Adventure World - open as usual

The Met office is predicting a clear and cloudy day today around St Albans. The rest of the week is also looking clear with some short bursts of light snow forecast for Wednesday and Friday.

All major roads around the area appear to coping well this morning. The Highways Agency is reporting very light traffic on the M1. Possibly due to many commuters staying home.
