The mayor of St Albans has officially opened a new fish and chip shop in the city.

Councillor Eileen Harris cut the ribbon for Fishy Delishy in Catherine Street on Wednesday, January 16.

Ferhat Akkaya, from the fish and chip shop, said: “We are really excited to be opening our family run business in St Albans.

“I was so pleased that so many people came out  to support us and I hope to see many again soon.”
