A couple who compiled a CD collecting photographs of 274 pubs and signs in St Albans to raise money for an adults and children’s hospice have reached over their £1,000 target.

Rosemary Wenzerul and Tony Stevens have now raised £1,452 from the sales after they vowed to keep hold of the history of pubs in the city.

After paying their sponsors Rosemary and Tony were then able to donate £1,222 to the Keech Hospice in How Wood, Park Street.

The CD compiles photographs of past and present pubs in St Albans after the pair noticed many pubs were closing down in the area.

CD’s are still on sale. To buy a copy contact Rosemary on 01923 677111.
