The landlord of a Harpenden pub gave residents the opportunity to learn about what happens behind the scenes at the popular boozer.

Bryan Walsh, who has run the Harpenden Arms for just less than ten years, invited people down to the cellar to see how beers are stored and looked after on Wednesday.

He said: "It was really good.

"I just wanted to give people an idea of what we do down there.

"They were quite surprised. They realised how much work goes into it.

"A lot of my regulars and people from CAMERA came to see what it’s all about."
