Motorist rescued from flood water in Sandridgebury Lane, St Albans

A car on the school run has become stranded in flood water in St Albans.

Firefighters were called to the railway bridge in Sandridgebury Lane at about 8am, where a car was submerged in deep water.

The firefighters were not needed and the passengers of the vehicle, including a child, were not harmed.

A car also became stuck in three feet of water in Sandridgebury Lane at 3.30pm yesterday.

A fire crew from St Albans was called and used cords to pull the car out of the ditch and the man was left uninjured.

sounds like they flooded the engine, could be they dipped the lights as well.
