A concentration camp survivor spoke to residents as part of a Holocaust remembrance service in St Albans.
Kitty Hart-Moxon, who was imprisoned in Auschwitz, gave a talk at the St Albans Masorti Synagogue on Sunday afternoon to mark Holocaust Memorial Day.
The Mayor of St Albans, Eileen Harris said: "It was a very special occasion for the community.
"People really seemed to enjoy meeting together. It was very interesting.
"The message of the service was that we must build bridges between communities so that we don’t have that misunderstanding."
