The Museum of St Albans hunt for World Goth Day items

The Museum of St Albans is on the lookout for all things gothic for a new exhibition.

To mark World Goth Day on May 22, staff at the museum are looking to put together a collection of related fashion, music, art and literature.

Councillor Mike Wakely, portfolio holder for sports, leisure and heritage at the district council, said: "It is important that the council’s museums not only look at ancient cultures but also those that have emerged across the centuries to the modern day.

"An exhibition on the Goth scene provides an insight into alternative culture."
