The Children’s Society receive hundreds of toys in Christmas toy appeal

Hundreds of toys have been donated to a children’s charity store in St Albans to support vulnerable young people.

Access Self Storage St Albans and The Children’s Society have been overwhelmed by the generosity of the local community and businesses, which helped make this year’s Christmas toy appeal a huge success.

Neil Hutchinson, Access Self Storage manager said: "We are so grateful to all those who made the effort to bring toys to the store.

"You have made such a difference. In total we had over 100 toys donated."

The store in Ashley Road, works with The Children’s Society to support vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people in the UK.

Paul Tate from The Children’s Society said: "We are amazed and very grateful to the Access staff, local people and businesses that have supported the Christmas Toy Appeal.

"Though the economic climate is tough, the generosity and support for this appeal has been overwhelming and really does make a difference to children’s lives."
