The St Albans Gang Show are gearing up for curtains up this week as they prepare for their first performance of their 34th annual show.
Dancing and singing is in full swing for the 112 cast members of the St Albans Scout and Guide Gang Show as they put the finishing touches to their dance routines, songs and sketches for their first show on Wednesday, February 13.
There are more than 25 dance routines in the annual show that the cast, aged from 11 to 25- years-old, have had to master during four months of rehearsal.
Hermione Clulow, the show’s new director, said: "The exact content of the show is under wraps, but the music includes songs from Muse, Stevie Wonder, Take That, Rihanna, Fred Astaire, Supergrass and Les Mis - all played live by the Gang Show band."
The sell out show will play five performances in the Alban Arena, which will end on Saturday February, 16.
It is the first show for Scout Josef Berryman, who turns 12 on the last day of the production. He said he was excited, but nervous about the show.
Josef said: "Being in the show has been great. I’ve made a lot of friends, had a lot of fun and learned a lot of stuff."
