Bingo sessions, raffles and lotteries have helped allotment owners in Harpenden raise more than £2,000 for charity.

The Coldharbour Lane Allotment Club has been collecting money during the year for the Hertfordshire Air Ambulance, Macmillan Cancer Support and Jumbulance, a charity that organises and day trips for elderly and disabled people.

Each of the causes was presented with the cash at a social evening at the club on Saturday, January 26.
