This is the man that police want to speak to in connection with a series of meat thefts in St Albans totalling more than £300.

Hertfordshire Constabulary have released CCTV images following three separate incidents at the Sainsbury’s petrol station in Marshalswick Lane.

On Monday, December 17 the offender tried to steal £23 worth of meat from the shop.

However he was challenged by a member of staff and left empty handed.

The next offence took place on Thursday, January 24 when meat to the cost of £200 was taken.

On Wednesday, January 30 a further £100 worth of meat was stolen. St Albans North neighbourhood officer PC John Cooper said: "We would appreciate the public’s help in trying to identify this man caught on CCTV.

"We continue to work with shops across St Albans, many of which now have CCTV. If this image is of you or you know who he is, please get in touch with us. You can remain anonymous."
