A fish restaurant in St Albans has been recognised for the improvements it has made to become more sustainable.

Lussmanns, in Waxhouse Gate, was highly commended in the Most Improved category of this year’s Sustainable Restaurant Association Awards.

The award night, which was hosted by TV chef Raymond Blanc, was set up to highlight the work of restaurants that have achieved the highest level of sustainability across the UK.

Owner Andrei Lussmann said: It’s great to see Lussmanns at the top table of sustainability again but, as always, there is plenty of work still to be done."
