Pupils at a school in St Albans will be able to spend more time learning outdoors thanks to a grant from the county council.
Wheatfields Infant and Nursery School has been given £750 to develop its forest school, an area of the grounds set aside for lessons.
Children will spend time in the area every week taking part in activities including building dens.
The money has been taken from Hertfordshire County Council’s locality budget.
