Heavy traffic on M1 Northbound between junction 8 and 9 after three car crash

Drivers travelling northbound on the M1 will experience a backlog of traffic this evening after three vehicles have been involved in a crash.
Police were called to the accident at 4:20pm on the M1 Northbound between junction 8 (Hemel Hempstead) and junction 9 (Redbourn).
The road was blocked off to remove a silver Ford van that was facing the wrong way. The crash also involved a white Audi A5 and a red Citroën C2.
