A top television sports commentator surprised cycling enthusiasts when he popped into Redbourn for a cup of coffee and a chat.
Phil Liggett MBE, who commentates cycling on ITV as well as the Tour De France, visited The Hub in High Street on Tuesday, February 12.
He spent about two and a half hours in the coffee shop, which has become a hotspot for cyclists, answering questions from fans, including several on Lance Armstrong.
Emma Jenkins, a member of staff at the shop, said: "He was a lovely man.
"He wanted to meet everyone. He went around and shook everyone’s hand.
"It was very exciting. It was a surprise for us all when he came in. It was really unexpected."
