Firefighters rescue two from lift in London Road, St Albans

Firefighters were called to a block of flats in St Albans last night to rescue two men trapped in a lift.
A crew rushed to Benedictine Place in London Road at about 11.30pm.
They used equipment to bring the lift up to one of the floors and engineers were called to fix damage to the doors allowing the men to get out.
The fire crew remained at the scene until about 1am.
