West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS trust to hold Celebration of Success event

The search is now on to find this year’s West Hertfordshire Nurse or Midwife of the Year.
Members of the public are being asked to nominate a nurse or midwife they feel has made a special contribution to their care, or to the care of a friend or family.
In May, West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS trust will host its fourth annual Celebration of Success event to recognise nursing and midwifery staff for their commitment and care in making a difference to the lives of patients every day.
Natalie Forrest, director of nursing at the trust said: "To be a nurse or a midwife is an extraordinary role. We are there for the joy at the beginning of new life, to the sadness at the end. We help people to recover from illness or support people living with one, and we shape the culture of our trust with compassion and humanity.
"The aim of our Nurse or Midwife of the Year Award is to single out and recognise someone who has gone above and beyond their role to ensure the best possible care for their patients and their families.
"The awards are also an opportunity for the public to show how much they value the care they receive."
