James Bond’s stunt man will be sharing the highlights of his career at the St Albans Film Festival next month.
Roy Scammell, who was the double for Roger Moore in The Spy who Loved Me and Pierce Brosnan in Goldeneye, will give a talk on March 8.
A local to the area, Mr Scammell is an old friend of festival director Leoni Kibbey.
She said: “Roy has the most amazing stories. Everyone thinks he is fantastic, so having him at the festival will be great.”
Mr Scammell was also a stunt man and actor in Dr Who, Flash Gordon and Clockwork Orange.
Ms Kibbey, who has produced her own films in the past, is looking forward to the festival. She said: “Not many people know about the film-making history in St Albans. The festival is a chance to celebrate everyone here”.
Mr Scammell’s talk will take place at The Hare and Hounds in Sopwell Lane from 6pm.
