Residents will have a chance to have their say on how services provided by First Capital Connect and Network Rail can be improved.
Last week First Capital Connect was named the worst train operating company in the country just days after a snapped power cable in Radlett Station caused days of delays for commuters.
Residents will now have the opportunity to ask questions about how services can be improved at a scrutiny meeting which will be attended by representatives of FCC and Network Rail.
Councillor David Poor, vice chair of the scrutiny committee, is calling on commuters and rail users to send him their comments on what they think about the service.
He said: "I am keen to see what people thought of how the rail companies coped with the problems."
The meeting will take place on March 5 at 7pm in the St Albans council chamber.
Residents are asked to send any questions to Councillor David Poor on cllr.d.poor@stalbans.gov.uk or Councillor Robert Donald on cllr.r.donald@stalbans.gov.uk or 07973208289.
