Roman fundraiser raises thousands for charity Roman fundraiser raises thousands for charity

Volunteers raised more than £2,000 for charity at a Roman themed fundraiser at Verulamium Museum.

Action for Children, which supports vulnerable and neglected children across the UK, held the event on Thursday, February 21.

Volunteers were captured by charity workers dressed up in the Roman costumes and they were not allowed to leave until they convinced their family, friends, colleagues and business contacts to donate cash to the cause.

Participants had three hours to earn their freedom to reach their target donation of £500.
