Police search for masked man after Harpenden robbery
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man wearing a balaclava robbed and threatened a member of staff at a betting shop in Harpenden.
The man, who is described as black with a strong Jamaican accent, went into Ladbrokes in Bowers Parade at about 6.45pm on Saturday and threatened an employee.
He told the person behind the till to fill a carrier bag with money and then ran away.
The suspect, who had bloodshot eyes, was about 5ft 6in and of a slim build.
He was wearing a black fleece, a black hooded top, black gloves, dark jogging bottoms and white trainers.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Hertfordshire Constabulary on the non-emergency number 101.
