Residents still have the opportunity to have their say on plans to extend Luton Aiport by double its size, following an extension of the consultation period.
A six week consultation period for residents to submit their comments about proposals to expand the airport was originially to closed on Monday, February 18, however Luton Borough Council has announced representations are still being received.
In a statement from Lisa Levy, a spokesman at the borough council, it was advised representations would still be received up until the date of the development control committee meeting.
However, as the technical details of the application are still being assessed a committee date has not yet been set.
Luton Borough Council’s application would see 18 million passengers pass through the airport every year.
