Stephen John Young, 36, of Suffolk Close, London Colney. On February 15, 2013, drove in Kings Road, London Colney, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion in breath was 80 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Fine, costs: £470. Banned from driving for 20 months, to be reduced by 20 weeks if approved course undertaken.

Michael Robert Ellis, 21, of Holyrood Crescent, St Albans. On February 16, 2013, was guilty, while drunk, of disorderly behaviour. Fine, costs: £170.

Paul Simon Gladwell, 27, of Clarence Road, St Albans. On November 4, 2012, pursued a course of conduct which amounted to harassment by sending numerous text messages of a threatening and offensive nature. Community order made with unpaid work requirement. Restraining order made. Costs: £145.

Mark Arthur Simpson, 40, of Abbots Avenue West, St Albans. On February 27, 2013, together with another, stole food items from Marks & Spencer, St Albans; also, offence committed while subject to conditional discharge imposed for theft from shop. Community order made with curfew requirement. Costs: £145.

Asif Hadi Ansari, 44, of Blandford Road, St Albans. On September 1, 2012, drove in Comet Way, Hatfield, without insurance or a valid licence. Fine, costs: £1,165. Six penalty points.

Dave Pablito Richards, 51, of Alban Avenue, St Albans. On September 3, 2012, drove on the A1, without insurance. Fine, costs: £700. Eight penalty points.

Mostague Choudhury, 48, of Packhorse Close, St Albans. On July 19, 2012, drove in Beech Road, St Albans at 36mph, the legal limit being 30mph. Fine, costs: £75. Three penalty points.

Jason James Daley, 40, of Maple Avenue, St Albans.  On September 5, 2012, used a motor vehicle in King Harry Lane, St Albans, without insurance. Fine, costs: £175. Six penalty points.
